Start Your Morning with Words, Wonder & Creativity

We’re delighted to be partnering once again with Write & Shine for a special series of early-morning creative writing workshops, led by author and facilitator Gemma Seltzer, founder of the acclaimed Write & Shine workshop series.

These relaxed and welcoming sessions are a chance to pause, reflect and get creative at the start of your day. Through imaginative writing prompts inspired by literature, art and the natural world, Gemma will encourage you to explore ideas, memories and stories in new ways.

You’ll write throughout each session, with no pressure to share your work. The aim is simply to let your ideas emerge freely and discover where your imagination takes you.

Whether you’re completely new to creative writing or an experienced writer looking for fresh inspiration, or evening purchasing this package as a unique gift,  each participant will leave each workshop with new pieces of writing, creative prompts to explore and renewed momentum.

Workshop 2: Remembrance & Hope
Wednesday 25 November

Great writing begins with honest emotion. During this month of remembrance, we’ll explore the full emotional spectrum of memory and experience — from longing and uncertainty to joy and hope.

Through guided writing exercises, we’ll consider how these powerful emotions can find expression in poems and stories.

Craft focus: Creating powerful beginnings and endings, and learning how to build resonance, closure and emotional impact into your writing.

Start Your Day Inspired

All workshops take place on Zoom.

  • Arrival: from 8.15am
  • Workshop: 8.30am–10.00am
  • What to bring: a notebook, a pen and your favourite morning drink

Come as you are, take some time for yourself, and start the morning with words, creativity and a little wonder.
